There’s plenty of times you set off to photograph one particular subject but for one reason or another, you come back with a completely different set of images.Sometimes those images may end up being better but even if they are not, they will be better than coming back with nothing at all.The short eared owls didn’t always come too close originally and so here are a few images taken at the Dunbar site and on the drive home later in the day.
The resident fox put in a brief appearance one afternoon.S.E.Owls forgotten.
I see very few foxes where I live.See lots of pheasant, partridge and grouse though!
Beautiful animal.
Lovely, calm pastel sunset colours reflected in the water, with a buoy.
Driving home,I just had to stop. Beautiful colours.
About Phil Mclean
Hi, my name is Phil Mclean.
I'm a nature photographer living in Berwickshire,in the Scottish Borders.I enjoy photographing all aspects of nature, from the birds and the bees,to the mammals and the trees.
I just love being out in the countryside whenever possible and preferably with a camera.
Although I do make it difficult for myself,as I'm normally accompanied by my photographic assistant, Ollie,my springer spaniel dog.
I hope you'll enjoy the pictures that I post and if you have the time and the inclination, please leave a comment.
Thanks.
