Green Woodpecker at nest site.

Taken in Hampshire where the nesting branch had split from the main trunk
and the top of the branch had swung down to the ground.In effect the nest cavity ended up above the nest hole and a certain amount of gymnastics was needed by the youngsters at feeding time.All bar one survived the ordeal.
